Time on the Water

Some of our Cubs have had a fantastic weekend this week after spending 2 nights on a narrowboat. They drove the boat, worked the locks, did wildlife challenges, took photos on cameras Akela gave them and earned loads of badges between them. The photos really don't cover just how much fun they had!

Our Scouts had a great day out at 128 Field Company 103 Battalion REME in Portsmouth where they earned their Mechanics badge and learned how to set up a helicopter landing zone, how to handle the Starstreak HVM, how to build a Comms tower and about light infantry weapons.

Jubilee Commemoration

This week we received our badges to commemorate HM Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee. Her Royal Highness is Patron of the Scout Association and has been since her Accession in 1952. We'll wear our badges with pride for the rest of the year.
